Graveyard Keeper 2 Quest Guide - Story Walkthrough

The story quests of Graveyard Keeper 2 that gate progress, with unlock conditions, triggers and step-by-step strategies.

Two Quest Tracks, One Ledger

The story runs on parallel rails: 41 main quests move you through the map, and 51 character quests build the relationships the ending audits. Side quests — 18 of them — are optional flavor and reputation-free. The ending needs the first two categories complete, all of them, not most of them. Every area you unlock exists to make one rail or the other progress faster.

  • Main quests gate areas: the graveyard, the town, the forest, and the late Sewers all open through the main line.
  • Character quests pay +10 reputation with their NPC — the ending's only reliable reputation income.
  • All 51 character quests land each of the six key townsfolk at exactly 90 — the ending bar, by design.
  • Keep the Red Eye and the bar moves to 100 with extra requests: strictly more ledger, never less.

Reputation Is the Real Currency

Six NPCs hold the ending: Jack, Gunter, the Nun, Herbert, Albert, and Linda, each needing 90 reputation before the Final Battle. At +10 per character quest there is no shortcut, no grind substitute, and no slack — the count is the gate. Treat every character quest you pass by as deferred payment, not skipped content. The keeper who reconciles this early finishes the game calm; the one who does not finishes it farming.

Check reputations against the quest ledger as a habit: 90 across all six is exactly 51 character quests, so any gap you find is a quest you have not done yet.
