🤝 Co-op Guide - Lobby Questions & Mod Outlook

Not today. There is no official co-op in Graveyard Keeper 2 and no unofficial mod for it yet — the game released on September 22, 2026, and the modding scene has had no time to produce anything like the first game's Nexus multiplayer project. If co-op matters to your purchase, the honest position is: buy it as the single-player management RPG it is, and watch the usual channels for news rather than assuming anything.

• GK1 precedent: an unofficial Nexus mod eventually added multiplayer to the first game.

The reason co-op hope persists is the first game's history: Graveyard Keeper never shipped official multiplayer either, but the community built a multiplayer mod for it on Nexus that let players run the graveyard together. That took time after GK1's own release, and GK2 is two days old — the sequel's deeper systems (town restoration, squad battles, conveyor automation) also give any would-be modder far more to synchronise. A GK2 equivalent is possible in principle and unannounced in practice.

Nothing either way. Lazy Bear Games and tinyBuild have not announced co-op, multiplayer or online features for Graveyard Keeper 2, and the store page's Single-player listing is the only authoritative statement of the game's player model. The developer's post-launch communication so far has gone to things like the art-style dev diary rather than multiplayer plans. Treat every co-op rumour as unconfirmed until it appears on the official Steam page or channels.
