The Premise: From Keeper to Grand Inquisitor
The story premise flips the first game's setup on its head: you open the game waking in a dungeon, and by the end you hold the title of Grand Inquisitor while commanding an army of the very undead you used to merely employ. The Town you are restoring is under siege by a zombie apocalypse, and the sequel makes its defense your job โ build towers and fortifications, craft weapons and armour, and arm your not-so-smart troops. It is the same black-hearted management comedy the first game was famous for, pointed at a bigger map.
- Restore the Town and its houses, shops and districts.
- Lead an undead army โ worker zombies automate, fighter zombies do battle.
- Defend against the zombie apocalypse with towers and fortifications.
- Run the classic loop: graveyard for profit, quests throughout the city.
What Carries Over from the First Game
Series veterans will feel at home fast: the three-colour tech points, autopsy and body-part systems, corpse quality driving graveyard score, the sin-day calendar (now a six-day week), the energy system, and Faith-and-sermon church economy all return in expanded form. The two big pivots are scale and automation โ where GK1 asked you to grind one plot alone, GK2 hands you a whole Town, an undead workforce with structured automation systems, and battles on a schedule. New players lose nothing by starting here; the premise stands on its own.

Bury the dead, raise zombies, restore the Town and lead your undead army against the apocalypse.
