How to Beat Sweet Dreams

The Plague Doctor hands over two Worker Zombies outright — the only free labor in the game. Workers inherit your skill trees through five masteries (Building, Smithing, Farming, Book writing, Anatomy) and carry one tool or weapon plus one piece of armor. They operate workstations, run the Factory, resupply other zombies, sing in the church choir, and can even fight. Two is a crew; it is not yet an economy.

Work Zones are how you point labor at jobs instead of micromanaging bodies. Assign the pair through zones and they hold their posts without prompting. Workers also auto-collect work tokens dropped on the ground, so a routed workforce largely pays its own upkeep. Between zones and tokens, the Sweet Dreams pair runs itself within an hour.

• Put one worker on the Factory rotation in the basement — it is the backbone chain.
• Put the other on graveyard-side labor so the burial quality work does not stall.
• Check their perk slots: red skulls on the source corpse set how many they get.
• Start banking Reanimation Liquid — Gunter and the Alchemist sell it, and your next zombies will not be free.

The next grant is Gunter's — three zombies in Friendship Written in the Stars — so treat the Sweet Dreams pair as the training rotation. Learn the collar ladder now: Bronze holds up to 5 red skulls, and collars can be swapped for better ones later without rebuilding the zombie. The Resurrection Table only fires on Envy days — a successful Prayer for Storms opens any-day resurrections while the storm god's favor lasts — so the calendar is part of the build order. Every hour the pair works is an hour you spend questing instead of hauling.
